This is an original oil painting by me, Alexandra Swistak.
A young woman is surrounded by sunflowers. She is gazing directly at the viewer. She has intelligence; she is questioning and has something to say.
As a 3/4 length portrait, it’s interesting in itself. It’s a most clever example of the elements of art in portraiture. Specifically, her positioning with arms crossed – one hand clasps a sun umbrella off her shoulder. Her elegant neckline, crisp white dress and gloves, further add an air of mystery.
This painting is executed with a level of excellence and skill giving it an overall atmosphere of elegance and character.
Please note the thick expressive brush strokes in some areas.
