Swimmers have been a favorite subject for several years and I continue to find great comfort in painting such compositions. This scene is carefully developed with several layers of glazing. There is a sense of calm and togetherness enjoyed by the swimmers.

I am often in awe by how much tranquility and luxury can be conveyed through water. There is also a touch of whimsy and subtle hint to freedom in nature which, at times, can feel like concepts from a bygone era.
