Tudor Cottage: Striped Sofa IV is part of an ongoing collection of interior oil paintings.

This cosy traditional interior scene features a bold contemporary striped sofa which instantly delights and surprises the viewer. The vivid colors are balanced with calming pastel colors.

Miniature detail is beautifully rendered in the fresh tulips and hydrangea arrangement. The plush purple chair and oriental carpet add warmth to the room. Every choice is thoughtfully balanced as in the example of the wooden wall paneling that compliments the thin wooden ceiling beams. A very modern abstract painting prominently sits on the corner table. Creamy/white oil paint surrounds the interior scene, adding a vintage feel to the overall composition.

The vintage mid century modern frame is a lovely finishing touch for this modern scene. The frame has age related wear.
