Covid-19: Remote Art Business Update

Dear Customers, Art lovers, Patrons and Friends,

As a creative with my own studio and e-commerce shop, I was already operating a contactless remote art business. In many ways, it’s business as usual with a few new twists. I’ve implemented several preventative COVID-19 government restrictions. For starters, my studio assistants began social distancing in early February and this means I process, package and ship all your orders on my own.

Shipping Supplies

I was over stocked with floor to ceiling rows of packaging supplies that ran out in the first week of March! While I have supplies on order, I’ve begun making my own labels and sturdy parcels. Interestingly enough, I’m quite good at making parcels for fine art.

Every task is taking me four times longer and I’m experiencing high volume orders. I’m working carefully to provide you with the safest, fastest quality service possible at this time. I’m managing to process your orders as scheduled, but please be patient with my email response time and mail carriers. There are significant delivery delays with every carrier. There are no shipping guarantees at this time.

Covid-19 Cleanliness

No worries here. I’m accustomed to painting with gloves, frequently washing art supplies and maintaining a pristine space. Constant cleaning at a “gold star standard” is part and parcel for my art practice. Added necessary precautions include:

  • Surfaces are disinfected each day
  • I wear new gloves each day
  • I wear a proper surgical mask even when dispatching your orders at a completely contactless carrier facility. A bit overkill, I know!

Nothing is as it once was.

Shipping delays and tight fitted face masks are extraordinary changes but I’m making it all work. I’m positively navigating through this pandemic. I’m focused on staying strong while I continue to slowly work on commissions and new original paintings.

I’m thankful for my family and you. Please take care of yourselves and your loved ones. Thank you for reading.
